We ended up getting lost in the mall on the way out, which was a blessing in disguise because we ended up witnessing the immediate aftermath of a bad car accident immediately after leaving the mall property. We did end up splitting a to go piece of cake from CCF! There was a ton of outdoor seating at the actual restaurants, but not too many benches to sit on while we ate our cake. There is also a larger selection of sit down restaurants when you go outside such as Cheesecake Factory. The food court has a nice selection of items. The mall is kept up quite well even though it looks a bit older. We didn't buy anything, but sales associates were friendly and welcoming. We had done a ton of outdoor stuff and needed a break from the sun. We browsed the mall on a Saturday in the late afternoon. To me this was comparable to Aventura Mall in Miami, but with a few less high end retailers and obviously it is smaller in size. There were some higher end shops like Neiman Marcus, Louis Vuitton and Nordstrom, but also a mix of shops in the mid price point like Gap. I would describe this mall as a slight step above a mid-range one. Our trip was mainly a touristy trip, but we also wanted to get a feel for the way locals live too since you never know where you could end up one day. We stopped into this mall on a trip to the Tampa and Saint Pete's area.
